Disciplines.

Each CRH offers foundational team based Primary Care and Mental Health services. CRHs also offer varied Specialty Care Services that align with their VISN needs (e.g. Cardiology, Eye Care, Nephrology, Dermatology, Sleep Medicine) with a select number of CRHs offering Surgical Care and Rehabilitation and Extended Care Services.

CRH’s innovation of various disciplines, provides Veterans the exceptional VHA care when then they need and where they need it.

Disciplines In Action

VISN 1’s Clinical Resource Hub enables top notch nephrology providers to provide critically needed telehealth care to patients in rural areas.

Approximately 350 Veterans have been served by way of VISN 1’s approach to telenephrology care, and we look forward to seeing that number grow.

“One of my Veterans completed CBT-SP last week (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Suicide Prevention) and absolutely LOVED it! She said that it should be offered to every Veteran who has been hospitalized for suicide attempts and that she hoped she could have a survey to complete later, as she wanted to make sure we continue to offer this. She was a real pleasure to work with! I also have a Veteran in PST-SP (Problem Solving Therapy for Suicide Prevention) who expresses his appreciation as well. He has been using the skills and said it really helped him focus and calm down. Love this program!”

- Debra Milling, LCSW, SP 2.0 Therapist in VISN 6 CRH
"[With the help of CRH,] I gained confidence in my ability to train the staff at my new spoke site and let me see telehealth working in other healthcare systems, not only the VA. It also made me realize the importance of using patient generated data to make changes in my Veterans plan of care and how important that tool can be, not only to getting the whole “view” of the patient, but how the different apps can continually encourage the patients to strive for better results daily. I would recommend everyone involved in telehealth to take the course to grow in their practice as well.”

- Anissa Adcox, BSN, RN, AMB-BC, a VISN 16 CRH Care Coordinator is the first CRH RN to graduate from the University of Florida/VHA collaboration telepresenter certificate program.

“This [bup] is easy to measure by the time on clock and forget about it. Today is the best day I've had in several years. This is a gift from God to me.”

– Veteran who recently initiated on buprenorphine, speaking on the first year of implementation the Pain/MOUD IPT evaluated and offered MOUD to approximately 30 Veterans in 11 VA facilities (2 main sites and 9 CBOCs in VISN 20.
